Vlog1 What I Want

So this is my first post. I was inspired by a youtube video by Mike Wesch, you can find him here: http://www.youtube.com/user/mwesch Basically I am a sucker for self realization, I want to understand myself and what the hell is going on in this existence. Mr. Wesch believes, as an anthropologist, that the web2.0 applications provide a new and unique tool for this very end.
We present ourselves differently according to our audience; we act professional at work, loving with our loves, and like jack asses with our friends. So how do we present ourselves to the internet population? Not that I am expecting that many views, but it's not like this is a private medium.

  1. What kind of society creates people who can't be themselves due to fear of "moral acceptance"?

    I find it fascinating that human beings must turn to Web 2.0 as a medium to be "themselves" without fear of rejection. My hypothesis is this:a mashine can't judge you like the cruel expressions of a human commentator.

    I think inherently human beings desire to go back to the stoneage and live life, purely on instinct. But over thousands of years religous persecution and political unrest, human beings were forced to repress their instinctive nature and conform to a society of 'higher moral CHRISTIAN values'.

    By instinctive nature I mean: humans beings merely had concern for shelter, hunger and procreation. There was no "Christ" then and people thrived happily & very healthy as well.

    Look at our society now: violent, obese, self-centered...and last but certainly not least greedy!! I mean what happened...

    Who knows, I say do what makes YOU happy and don't worry about anything else, life is just way too short to live a life of "mistakes" and "regrets".

  2. In reference to the above comment I must add music that exemplifies what I say and/ or feel:

    A Powerful song on LIFE:

    Little Wonders by Rob Thomas

    let it go,
    let it roll right off your shoulder
    don't you know
    the hardest part is over
    let it in,
    let your clarity define you
    in the end
    we will only just remember how it feels

    our lives are made
    in these small hours
    these little wonders,
    these twists & turns of fate
    time falls away,
    but these small hours,
    these small hours still remain

    let it slide,
    let your troubles fall behind you
    let it shine
    until you feel it all around you
    and i don't mind
    if it's me you need to turn to
    we?ll get by,
    it's the heart that really matters in the end

    our lives are made
    in these small hours
    these little wonders,
    these twists & turns of fate
    time falls away,
    but these small hours,
    these small hours still remain

    all of my regret
    will wash away some how
    but i can not forget
    the way i feel right now

    in these small hours
    these little wonders
    these twists & turns of fate
    these twists & turns of fate
    time falls away but these small hours
    these small hours, still remain,
    still remain
    these little wonders
    these twists & turns of fate
    time falls away
    but these small hours
    these little wonders still remain
